Chiling Waterfalls - Kuala Kubu Bahru

Location : Chiling Waterfalls, Kuala Kubu Bahru
GPS Coordinates : N3 35.749 E101 45.093

The Chiling waterfalls is a excellent place to unwind for city folks. The journey to Kuala Kubu from Kuala Lumpur city center take about 1 and a half hours and the remaining journey will be on foot thru jungles and rivers path. The whole journey maybe tiring but definately a remarkable trip to remember.

Many people fishing on the bridge near the water dam.

A waiting game.

Seaching for treasures at a colonial era bridge.

A greener world is a better world.

The water flowing gently down the slippery rocks. Good footwear is important to go thru the wet slippery terrain.

We have to cross the rapid rivers to get to the other side.

Finally our destination of the day, Sungai Chiling Waterfalls. I can say one of the best waterfalls in Selangor.

Man made stone structures.

You can feel the energy of the water flowing down from above.

Not recommended to go near the waterfalls as the strong current may pull you down and many people tragicly died here.

Be part of the conservation to protect our natural habitats before we lose it all.

After a tiring hike thru the jungle trails, have a cool bath on the clear water of Sungai Chiling.

Coordinates: 02°55′N, 101°40′E Putrajaya, a planned city located just south of Kuala Lumpur, is the new federal administrative centre of Malaysia. Several Government offices have re-located there to gain relief from the overcrowding and congestion of Kuala Lumpur, which is Malaysia's largest city. However, Kuala Lumpur still serves as Malaysia's national and legislative capital for now. Putrajaya is a Federal Territory just like the city of Kuala Lumpur and the island of Labuan.

The city is named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. In Bahasa Melayu, the Sanskrit-derived words "Putra" means prince while "Jaya" means excellent or success.

The city has only been established recently and it is still undergoing massive development: its development was hampered by the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

The city is built on a scale completely disproportionate to its current population, with a number of bridges spanning an artificial lake, Putrajaya Lake.
